Just like learning, furniture shouldn’t be forced.  Flowform is refreshing in that way.  Deliberate organic shapes with soft radii and rounded edging.  There is no attempt to force pieces to interlock.  They work individually or loosely slide together, giving students endless options to make micro-adjustments.

Flowform from Smith System® – the latest addition to active seating for K-12 spaces. Flowform Soft Seating helps create unique collaborative interaction spaces for kids of all ages. Flowform soft seating is available in 4 shapes, with 2 divider wall sizes to create barriers – when space is needed. Flowform has two components, the soft seating line and the mobile storage line, which pair together for cohesive spaces. The curves of the benches mate with the curves of the storage units. The streamlined design of Flowform makes any K–12 space fresh and modern.  It’s perfect for individual study and casual group-work areas – reading nooks, your commons, libraries, and media centers, or any collaboration hot spot. 

Cleanable. Accidents happen. The 100% EPU Polyurethane (vinyl) fabric is easy to clean with a 10:1 water-bleach solution.

  • 1,000,000 Wyzenbeek double rub (CD) rating.

 Ottoman

The Flowform 26” ottoman pairs well with our Soft Rocker or on its own to create comfortable workspaces for young adult learners. Collaborate with others and interact in a close-knit space. The ottoman is constructed of durable kiln-dried pine solid hardwood with a poplar plywood frame, which is corner blocked at load-bearing connections. The back frame is webbed for structural integrity. The seating pad is made from high-density foam meeting FR CA117 standards and contains no added flame retardant chemicals.

 Soft Rocker

Soft Rocker is a new addition to active seating for K–12 spaces. Great ergonomics make this chair a rock star of comfort. The high density foam core provides the right amount of relaxing give, while a compact, hardwood frame ensures a sturdy sit.  Soft Rocker is designed for all rock and no roll. The slight pitch in the back support and subtle curve in the base encourage safe, smooth rocking. It’s irresistible, even for adults. The streamlined design of Soft Rocker makes it sing in any K–12 space that requires ancillary seating. It’s perfect for individual study and casual group-work areas – reading nooks, your commons, libraries and media centers, or any collaboration hot spot.
